Why Montessori?

The Montessori environment is known for individually paced learning and encouraging independence. The Montessori method also encourages empathy, social interaction, normalization and because the method is child-led, children develop confidence through achievement.

Practical Life Skills:

In applying the Montessori method of teaching, the first point of call is teaching young children Practical Life Skills. As adults we perform these tasks every day without second thought.

However, we forget that these simple daily tasks are learned behaviour and must be taught to our little ones to ensure that they become independent little beings.

The objective is to aid the child with the necessary skills, to become independent,

The aim of practical life skills is to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, discipline, independence and develop their fine and gross motor skills.

Many of the activities in our free printable have more complex extensions and require practical demonstrations theoretical guidelines presented by our Montessori Directress. This exclusive package is available in our membership.

Ps: When applying and implementing Montessori, it takes a lot of patience and observation. Remember the key is independence and not perfection.
